OFA's mission is to move youth from "Foster Care to Success". We believe that all foster youth deserve a good education and a better future and we strive to assist them in every way we can. Scholarships, mentoring, care packages, they're all in place to help our students succeed.
No one can tell their stories better than the young people themselves. Their poems and stories are powerful, passionate, uplifting and yes, sometimes they're very sad but they all come from the heart. Take a few minutes to learn about the youth we serve and the journey they're on.
A Voice of Determination

"I am here speaking on behalf of all the African American males who are dealing with adversity from not living with their parents. I'm going to an accredited school and graduating this year, saying that I can achieve. I am here to continue to prosper and grow and show determination in a positive fashion, and to represent and bring back a positive connotation to my culture.
"I feel strongly about where I am and where I came from. And I am not ashamed of that because it made me who I am today, a strong, determined individual. OFA is a strong factor into my growth and development as a professional and as a human being. So I am blessed to have them in my corner, you know. I feel like Rocky out here." (laughter)
