"Right now, I am in England and just got back from a trip to Amsterdam. Never in my life would I have thought that I would have the opportunity to study abroad. I remember feeling sad because I felt like being a former foster child would hold me back from things that I wanted to do. Accomplishing this has shown that no matter what happened to me in the past, I can do whatever I want in the present and future! I just feel like anything is possible now."

Voices of Success
"When OFA came in, it was more than just the financial aspect they provided. I am part of a program that is more than money for college. It has been a great experience.
"To go to college is an investment. And I felt like when I was filling out scholarship applications, I wanted somebody to take a chance with me. I knew going into it, if somebody would just help me out a little bit – you know, I will produce big; it will be well worth their money and they will see that.
"So even though college and medical school is a huge economic burden, I will represent you well, and show results, and I can be the 'all you can be' student. It just takes finding somebody who is willing to take that chance. . .and with OFA they did. They personally invest in each one of their students, and I believe that there are great outcomes from that."
